Welcome to New Zealand Masters Swimming - Fun, Fitness and Friendship for all aged 20 and above. Find out what is happening in Masters Swimming and how to join and participate in the events run by our clubs. Who can Join?
Membership of NZMS is open to all people who turn 20 in their first year of membership. Potential members must be in a position to swim at a local club, within New Zealand, before they can be accepted as members.
What does it cost?
There is a national administration fee, payable through your local club of $65. Most clubs charge a fee to cover their running costs, and this can be anywhere from $15 upwards, depending on the booking arrangements with the pools they swim at.
What Value do I Get?
Members often list the following as being valuable outcomes from membership of NZMS:
- Access to swim at any sanctioned Masters meet, anywhere in the world
- Swim and socialise with like minded individuals
- Access to a range of competitive swimming options including pool based meets, postal meets, and open water swimming

The best way to find out more information is either from your local club or pool (many pools around New Zealand have Masters groups swimming at them) . There is a list of local clubs and contacts here
