Who can Join?

Membership of NZMS is open to all people who turn 20 in their first year of membership.  Potential members must be in a position to swim at a local club, within New Zealand, before they can be accepted as members.

What does it cost?

There is a national administration fee, payable through your local club of $70 ($65 if paid online). Most clubs charge a fee to cover their running costs, and this can be anywhere from $15 upwards, depending on the booking arrangements with the pools they swim at.

What Value do I Get?

Members often list the following as being valuable outcomes from membership of NZMS:

  • Access to swim at any sanctioned meet, anywhere in the world
  • Ability to swim and socialise with like minded individuals
