World Masters Swimming Championships |

Planning for the 2008 World Masters Swimming Championship, to be
held in Perth from the 15th to the 25th April, is now underway.
Expressions of interest are now being received by the organising
committee, and as this directly relates to any funding application, it
is important that if you are at all interested in attending this meet,
you register your interest as soon as possible.

NEW ZEALAND MASTERS TO CO-ORDINATE
SWIMMERS
I am pleased to advise that
New Zealand Masters Swimming has committed to co-ordinate the New Zealand
Swimmers to attend the World Masters Swimming Champs being held in Perth
during April 2008.
NZMS will provide the
following:
- Co-ordination
of a NZ team uniform
- Negotiate
accommodation for all NZ swimmers and their supporters
- Apply
for funding on behalf of all members wishing to participate (for
airfares, uniforms etc)
- Communicate
on a regular basis with clubs and interested individuals
- Comprehensive
rules and guidelines for the distribution of funding will be provided
with each funding application so that all individuals are clear on the
process.

Please if you
think you MIGHT be interested in attending. It is better to say yes now and
then pull out than try to become involved at a later date. If you decide to
participate AFTER the funding applications have been lodged you will NOT be
eligible for any of the funds. Funding can only be given to those who have advised
us of their intended participation. You will also need to be a financial
member of NZMS to be eligible for funding.

INTENTION TO PARTICIPATE

APPLICATIONS
