Spring is here, and with spring comes warmer waters. Perhaps a little too early for most to start on those open water swims, but not too early to plan

Our top swimmers are fast approaching their first distance award milestone of 500K's, and as a team we have already reached 4179 Kilometers, 800km's in the last month - a fantastic effort in just 5 months. Remember there is no cost to NZMS members to participate!  So get swimming and put your distances in .

Well another month rolls by, and this month has seen a huge effort put in by some swimmers. It's also pleasing to see that the number of people taking part in the event are increasing, with entries coming through from new people on a regular basis. So if you haven't jumped in and started the challenge, now is a good time to do it!

Well we have been going now for three months and those K's are starting to pile up. Again it's pleasing to see new people coming on board to help out. So far there have been over 300 entries into the swim.

Just to keep everyone on their toes, here is the interim update for June. With 672 Km's complete we still have a long way to go, and it's not too late to join up. Remember any distance swum since the 1st May can be included, so get your distances in, and encourage others in your club to do the same.
