Entries for swimming at the 21st NZ Masters Games in Dunedin close this Friday the 22nd of January. The swimming runs from the 2nd until the 4th of February at Moana Pool. Join the 100 competitors who have already signed up and have some fun at this milestone event!

It’s survived a world war, atomic bombs and economic recessions but it will float to the surface again in Hamilton on April 11. The annual Five Bridges River Swim will be held again in the Waikato River on Sunday, April 11, beginning at 1pm, 71 years after the event first took place in Hamilton. History shows that R. Aiken swam to victory in the first event in 1939 and was presented with the Goldie-Anderson Challenge Cup.

Well we finally cracked it - yes after 20 months of hard slog, we have finally swum around NZ - all 15,134Km's of it. Congratulations to all that took part. Final results for the challenge are below

Swimming New Zealand has established the Epic Swim Festival which will take place for the first time from 16-17 January 2010 in stunning Lake Taupo. This annual event will consist of 2km and 5km recreational open water swims plus mini swims for kids. The NZ Masters 2.5km Open Water Swimming Championships and NZ 5km and 10km Open Water Championships will also form part of the 2010 Epic Swim Festival.
